[REVIEW IS FOR THE ROOFTOP BAR]
We included the HG rooftop bar as part of our bachelorette weekend in Dallas, and loved the vibe and service. The waitress went out of her way to find us a seat, which helped us settle in and enjoy the evening. I loved that we didn't have to order at the bar, and had menus / waitstaff at the tables. I am docking one star only because the drinks we ordered were definitely on the sweeter side (I got the frozen mule) - so much so that I didn't finish mine. I'll definitely be back for the ambience and food, but maybe get a cider or beer next time. -

Awesome place for dinner with an amazing rooftop bar. The dining room had plenty of tables and a smaller bar downstairs. It was steadily busy on a Saturday night. Made a reservation for 7 and were seated just before 7. Started with the shrimp ceviche: marinated shrimp, baby tomatoes, avocado, pickled red onion, cilantro, charred tomato & tomatillo salsas, served with crispy corn tortilla chips. Nice flavor, I was thrown off just a little by the half baby tomatoes but they blended well with the taste. For my main meal, I had the sautéed snapper: caramelized squash purée, pan roasted baby zucchini, sunburst squash & charred herb salsa. The fish was cooked very nicely and the flavors all melded together very well. My friend had the Steak Frites: 8-ounce angus butcher's cut, grilled, sliced & topped with chimichurri, served with pecorino-herbed fries. She let me try it, the meat was so tender.
After dinner we went upstairs to their huge rooftop bar and space. Plenty of areas to sit, a huge centrally located bar, TVs to watch sporting events. Definitely a very cool and happening place to be. Drinks were very good as well.
We got lucky finding parking on the street but there are also smaller lots around lower Greenville where you can park. -

I really enjoyed having lunch here with one of my girlfriends! We decided to meet up after visiting a local museum and were pretty impressed. The bar area is well-lit and STOCKED with plenty of drinks to your liking. Support staff were friendly... in particular our waitress. She was patient enough to explain the history of the restaurant as well as menu items.
My gf and I both settled on individual orders of the Cochinita Nachos - traditional Mexican pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, salsa, guacamole, cilantro & green onion. She went with the traditional Mexican pulled pork where I switched it up and asked for grilled chicken. MY GOODNESS! Both were ridiculously good. I asked for extra cheese, but it wasn't quite the cheese I was expecting. Needless to say, I plan on visiting these nachos... I mean visiting this spot again! -

What can I say besides this place was pretty awesome! My friend and I decided one Sunday after brunch that we would try this place out for their happy hour! Super excited when I found out they have a rooftop deck because let's be honest, who doesn't love a great view while dining/drinking. When we arrived, there were plenty staff members available to greet us and get our table ready. We informed them that this would be just for drinks and no food was necessary. Our server was a cool guy but he wasn't as attentive as I like.
On two occasions we had to ask for somebody else to grab him for us so we could order more drinks. No biggie but had it not been for that I would've given the 5 stars that I'm almost positive they can receive on a future visit. Although I didn't get to try the food, I would like to return and check out a few items on their menu that sparked some interest. Overall, pretty good visit. I have to say also that I really enjoyed the whole ambiance of the place, very lively, upbeat, great energy here so i will be back for sure on my next trip to Dallas!
